Robotics

Offline:

Offline programming is used to validate and detail the planned system to assemble a complete car body. Using a massive number of industrial robots, the individual sheet metal parts previously produced in the press shop are assembled with a very high degree of automation. This approach allows geometric accessibility, freedom from collisions and cycle times to be examined and optimized at an early stage of engineering. The aim is to optimize and validate the functionality of the entire system as far as possible and to reduce commissioning times.

Simulation Software:

  • Delmia V5
  • Process Simulate
  • Visual Components
  • standards Automotive:
  • Daimler (Integra)
  • VW (VASS)

Online:

The robots are commissioned on the construction site and the offline programs are imported. The robots are then driven off and tested until they are ready for automatic operation. Virtual commissioning (VIBN) significantly reduces the time required for the automatic test phase in conjunction with the PLC. The system is then optimized until it is ready for series production.
